The Xbox One S is a powerful console that supports 4K and HDR gaming. The 4K technology offers a horizontal resolution of 4,000 pixels and vertical resolution of 2,000 pixels. HDR is a new TV technology that renders richer, more vibrant colors. In order to enjoy a smooth HDR gaming experience, you need an HDR capable TV and an HDR compatible game.
If you own an Xbox One S console and an HDR capable TV, all you need to do is buy an HDR game. Since this technology is relatively new, the HDR game offer is rather scarce. The number of HDR compatible games is quite limited, and as you’d expect, it consists mainly of the games launched this year.
Xbox One S HDR compatible games
Battlefield 1is another impressive first-person shooter that will receive HDR support in the near future.
More and more game developers are focusing on HDR games and already started investing in this technology. Resident Evil 7 and Scalebound are two impressive HDR games that will arrive in 2017. We’re sure that many more HDR compatible titles will be launched next year.
At the same time, more and more gamers will update their equipment for HDR games. Microsoft will launch the Scorpio console next year, and we’re sure many gamers will purchase this device — touted to bethe most powerful consoleever built.
The quality improvements between previous gaming technologies and HDR can immediately be seen. HDR makes the gaming experience much more realistic, with vibrant colors of HDR will make games look a lot better on your HDR TV.
