343 Industries madesome pretty exciting announcements for Halo fansyesterday. First, the Overtime Content release for Halo 5: Guardians brings back the Oddball game mode, a weapon tuning update, Team Skins and more. For those of you interested in Halo e-sports, you can watch the HCS Fall 2017 Finals this weekend on Mixer or Twitch, and get ready for the Halo World Championship 2018. You can read more details about these Halo 5 updates onHalo Waypoint.

Along with Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Wars 2 will soon be improved with 4K graphics for the Xbox One X, and an upcoming update for the RTS game will also bring support for Xbox Arena as well as cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10. As the game already supports Xbox Play Anywhere, this latest addition really makes sense.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the Xbox One anthology including Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, 3 and 4 will also be enhanced for the Xbox One X and get new patches to fix remaining issues with the game and more. The team plans to kick off a public flighting program with iterative patches next spring, and more details will be shared with fans when the time comes.

For now, it doesn’t look like all games in Halo: The Master Chief Collection will get 4K upgrades, like Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Wars 2 will. However, it’s good to see that the Xbox One anthology is still being supported by 343 Industries three years after its release.
