What you need to know
Halo Infinitehas gone gold, 343 Industries confirmed today during alivestream. While the multiplayer for the game is already available in beta, with progress carrying over to the full launch, the content for the campaign is now locked in later in the year.
“Going gold” is a phrase in the gaming industry that refers to when content was ready to be printed on to disc and shipped out. It doesn’t mean a game can’t get a day-one patch, but at this point, the release date should be locked in. Ourpreview for Halo Infinite’s campaignis now available, with the first four missions of the game showing promise in story, tone and gameplay. We’ll have to wait and see how the rest of the campaign pans out in our full review though.
Halo Infinite’s campaign is coming toXbox Series X,Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. Like all Xbox first-party games, it’s also available in Xbox Game Pass at launch.
