Elden Ringis one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2022 and the wait to play is almost over with a February 25 release date on the horizon. But if you’re going to be playing on Xbox there’s more good news, with a pretty sizeable bonus on offer from Microsoft Rewards.

If you don’t have theMicrosoft Rewards app on your Xboxyet, then you definitely should. But once you do, heading inside you’ll find a special punch card for Elden Ring. Activate it and assuming you purchase the game before March 9 you’ll get 6,000 Microsoft Rewards points. Not too shabby at all, since it’s essentially enough points to claim a free $5 voucher you can use towards something else for just buying a game you were going to get anyway.

Microsoft Rewards on Xboxis a killer feature, with a number of ways to earn points on top of those you’d already earn on the desktop or mobile. Regular Game Pass quests add small, but frequent amounts to your account and it doesn’t take long to build up a fairly healthy balance. 6,000 extra points is an easy win.

Elden Ring … oh, Elden Ring!

Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s next fantasy epic, featuring a focus on open-ended design in a universe created by both FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki and A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin.
