Xbox Storegifting is one of the most requested features from Xbox gamers, especially since it is a ‘taken-for-granted’ feature on Steam, for example.
Both Windows Store and Xbox Store do not support gifting as yet, but earlier this monthMicrosoft confirmed during a conversation at PAX West that game gifting and wishlists were coming soon.
Looks like, it is actually coming soon.Reddit userliamcurtis1718has shared a screenshot of Xbox Store listing with an option to buy the game as a gift. Another user on the thread has confirmed that on clicking the ‘Buy as Gift’ button, you’ll have the option to send it to a friend on your friend list or you can enter an email address.
It makes sense for the game gifting feature to arrive for the general public soon with the holiday season fast approaching. Also, since the Xbox Store and Windows Store are essentially the same, the feature would probably be functional across both store fronts at the same time.
The feature is live for Alpha Insiders on Xbox One. If you’re an Insider, let us know in the comments if it is reflected on your storefront.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
