Patch Tuesday on the second Tuesday of each month is the traditional day for Microsoft to release new cumulativeupdates. However, Microsoft is beginning to break with tradition by releasing cumulativeupdatestwice in a month on other days of the week. The software giant has just released further cumulativeupdatesfor three olderWindows 10versions on a Thursday.

Microsoft has released the latest cumulativeupdatesforWindows 10Fall Creators Update, theCreators UpdateandAnniversary Updateversions. Note that those are cumulativeupdateswhich don’t add anything new to the versions. Cumulativeupdatesonly fix bugs inWindows 10versions.

KB4284822, KB4284830, KB4284833

The latest cumulativeupdatesfix a variety of issues that are too numerous to list here.This pagelists all theKB4284822fixesfor theFall Creators Update. Alas, none of the cumulativeupdatesare for the latestApril 2018 Update, which hasrolled out fasterthan any other version. There are a fewApril 2018 Updatebugs that really need cumulativeupdatefixes. For example, theDo not allow web searchGroup Policy Editor option that turns Cortana web searches off no longer works in Windows 10 Pro since theApril 2018 Update.This postprovides further details about some of the other bugs in the latest Windows version.

Hopefully, Microsoft will also release a cumulativeupdatefor theApril 2018 Update(version 1803) soon. The cumulativeupdatesfor olderWindows 10versions will be automatic ones unless you’ve adjustedWindows Updatesettings. You can manually checkupdatesby entering ‘updates‘ in Cortana’s search box and selecting Check forupdates.
