A couple of days ago, Twitter became the first developer toupdate their app to a PWA format on Windows 10Redstone 4 and Redstone 5 devices. Though it was an excellent proof of Microsoft’snew concept for Windows 10 apps, the PWA shipped with several bugs in the initial release. Lo and behold, the app has received its first round of updates, bringing several usability improvements (via Windows Central.)
With the latest improvements, you’ll no longer see a request to review the app every time it is launched. You’ll also notice that the end user cookie dialogue will no longer pop up once you dismiss it. Finally, also new is the ability to paste images directly from your clipboard and into a tweet.
All of these improvements are automatically rolling out, so you won’t need to go to the Windows Store for any updates. This is one of the many benefits of the PWA, and you can expect for Twitter to add more features in the coming weeks, such as live tile support and the ability to upload video.
Please keep in mind you only will be seeing the Twitter PWA if you’re a Windows Insider on the Spring Creators Update (Redstone 4) or the Skip Ahead Ring (Redstone 5.) Everyone else should be getting this PWA once Redstone 4 ships later this month.
