Elden Ring’s meteoric praise is paired with commerical success, as Elden Ring is leading the February 2022 NPD charts.

As shared by senior NPD analystMat Piscatella, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco’s fantasy epicElden Ringclaimed the top spot on the charts. Elden Ring was followed by Guerrilla Games’Horizon Forbidden West, with Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Total War: Warhammer 3 in third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Notably, Pokemon Legends: Arceus only dropped two places from itsJanuary 2022 NPDplacement, while Total War: Warhammer 3 achieved fifth place while launching into PC Game Pass. Moving into hardware, the Nintendo Switch was the bestselling console of the month in both units sold and dollar sales. Xbox Series X|S consoles took second place in both measurements.
