Today, Capcom hosted a Digital Event which unveiled new information regarding Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, an upcoming DLC expansion to the action-hunting title,Monster Hunter Rise. This presentation showcased a ton of information, including its release date, new monsters to hunt, a new locale to explore, and much more.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak takes place shortly after the events of the base game, and it sees the player travel to a far-away outpost called Elgado to defend the Kingdom from dangerousmonstersknown as “The Three Lords.” These “Lords” are the werewolf-like Lunagaron, the fortified gorilla-like beast, Garangolm, and the flag-ship monster of Sunbreak, Malzeno. The player will also have to hunt other monsters such as the Shogun Ceanataur, the Blood Orange Bishaten, and Astalos, a fan-favourite monster from Monster Hunter Generations.
There will be more monsters to hunt in the new Master Rank quests, where the difficulty will be at its highest but reap the greatest rewards. To help combat these beasts, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will grant players new Wirebugweaponattacks and introduce new Endemic Life to assist them as they hunt in the new Citadel locale.
The PC version ofMonster Hunter Rise: Sunbreakwill be released on Steam on June 30, 2022, alongside the Nintendo Switch version. In addition to the standard version, there will also be a Digital Deluxe version of Sunbreak to purchase that includes cosmetic “layered” armor, gestures, poses, a hairstyle, and makeup. If you pre-order the game now, you will unlock “layered” armor sets for the Palamute and Palico compansions when Sunbreak is released.
