Magic in Elden Ring is divided into two parts: Sorceries and Incantations. Sorceries require the Intelligence stat to use, while Incantations require the Faith stat. Both spells and miracles use FP, which is increased by raising your character’s Intelligence stat when leveling up. FP can be restored by drinking from your character’s Flasks of Cerulean Tears.
Sorceries require a Staff to cast, while Incantations require a Sacred Seal. Functionally, Sorceries and Incantations seem to be very similar to Sorceries and Miracles fromDemon’s Soulsand the Dark Souls trilogy of games.
