What you need to know
Dell has a big new conferencing solution on the way in the form of its UltraSharp 32 4K Video Conferencing Monitor, set to release March 29, 2022. There are no pricing details for the hardware yet, but Dell says more info on that front will come closer to the shipping date.
As to why you should keep an eye on this new screen when there’s already a sea of conferencing monitors out there: This 32-inch UltraSharp offering is being advertised by Dell as the “first monitor in its class” to feature IPS Black panel technology, meaning visuals will have next-level contrast and color. Beyond that, the display also comes equipped with an intelligent 4KUltraSharp webcamthat features a sensor capable of automatically adjusting focus, lighting, and more in order to keep you looking good without the need for manual tinkering.
The monitor comes packed with a wide assortment of ports, including USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-A, and a headphone and microphone combo jack. It’s worth noting the fastest response time the 60Hz display can manage is 5ms (8ms in normal mode), so this is not an ideal screen for gaming. But conferencing? At least on paper, all these specs fit the bill.
