Howdy, everybody! I’m incredibly excited to introduce a new gaming-centric video series for Windows Central. Checkpoint is the show where to stop to break down all the biggest gaming stories of the week so far. Our first episode is officially live, and we can’t wait for you all to check it out.

For this week’s episode of Checkpoint, we dive into the mysterious Capcom countdown timer, Resident Evil 4 remake rumors, Elden Ring classes, and PC specifications, the big current-genCyberpunk 2077update for Xbox Series X|S, the problem withXbox gameplay showcases, and so much more!

What is Checkpoint?

What is Checkpoint?

Our goal with Checkpoint is to deliver a quick and convenient way for our audience to digest Xbox news each and every week. We view this as a hybrid format that combines our favorite elements of standard news recaps with added editorial opinions and conversations from myself and my co-host Jez Corden. As we work to refine the show and its delivery, we’d love to hear from viewers about what we’ve delivered with episode one.

The current target length for a standard episode will be 15 to 20 minutes. Obviously, we went a little over that with our first outing, but we hope to refine the show while still keeping the conversations fun and natural. As we already deliver a weekly gaming podcast calledXbox Chaturdays, we want to ensure that Checkpoint serves as more digestible standalone video series on the Windows Central Gaming channel.
