What you need to know
The Vault in Destiny 2 is a concept for content that Bungie is removing from the game, to be stored and come back at a later date. On Thursday, Bungieannouncedthat most of the content from Destiny 2: Forsaken is being Vaulted alongside the launch ofDestiny 2: The Witch Queenon Feb 22, 2022.
This means that until they are un-Vaulted, the game’s Forsaken storyline and the Tangled Shore location will no longer be accessible, though The Dreaming City will remain in the game. Starting on Dec. 7, the Forsaken campaign will be free for anyone has not yet purchased it and will remain free until it goes into the Vault.
Europa awaits
Beyond Light is the latest big expansion for Destiny 2, introducing a new element for Guardians to wield, a new area on the Jupiter moon Europa, a new story, and plenty of loot to go around.
