ASUS ProArt Display gives creators a portable second screen

ASUS is no stranger to secondary screens for PCs. The company has several devices, such as theZenBook Duo, that feature an additional display. Soon, creators will be able to get that same experience on a portable secondary monitor, the ASUS ProArt Display PA147CDV.
ASUS first unveiled the ProArt Display PA147CDV in September 2021. The company recentlyhighlighted the display at NAB 2022since it is set to launch soon (viaThe Verge). Pricing for the screen hasn’t been shared at this time, but it should come out in Q2 2022.
The ProArt Display PA147CDV supports several input methods, including touch, pen support, and a physical dial. The device supports Microsoft’s Pen Protocol 2.0, so it should work well with a range of styli.
The ASUS dial can be used to control apps such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. Any app that has been built to work with the Surface Dial is controllable by the ASUS dial.
The 14-inch IPS screen of the ProArt Display PA147CDV has a resolution of 1920 x 550, which means it has a 32:9 aspect ratio. It can stand in either portrait or landscape orientation.
ASUS highlighted the color accuracy of the screen at NAB 2022. The screen covers 100% of the Rec. 709 and sRGB color gamuts and is factory calibrated and Calman verified to hit △EA under 2.
The display features a kickstand that allows creators to place it at different angles. It also has two USB-C ports and an HDMI port.
