Microsoft has taken to TikTok to sell you on why Teams is the communications platform for you. Because in the event your place of work couldn’t compel you to get on Teams, maybe a wacky video will. Trust Microsoft: Teams is all kinds of fun, and a human trapped in a Clippy mascot outfit is the proof.

This TikTok upload is the logical progression of meme culture intersecting with brand “self awareness” (if we want to call it that) and the natural resurgence of Clippy, otherwise known as Microsoft’s one true mascot, even if the company won’t always acknowledge his status. He’s done beingjust a wallpaperand a faint reminder of a bygone era. He’s back with a vengeance, having eaten some poor dancer so that Microsoft may have its jollies. And you know what? Maybe this is what we deserve. We kept encouraging Microsoft, and now, we reap what we sow.
