What you need to know
Which would you rather spend $500 on: AnXbox Series Xor a GeForce RTX 350 graphics card? The latter doesn’t have the power to beat out thebest graphics cards, and yet somehow, it’s apparently going to be costing what those cards did in pre-pandemic times, before the mass hysteria of 2020 onward.
As spotted by ever-watchfulVideoCardz, anRTX 3050 review on YouTubeposted by Gamers Nexus has revealed NVIDIA partners' pricing breakdowns for their various 3050 releases.

As that table reveals, we live in a world where ASUS may be charging $489 for a variant of the RTX 3050. You’ll notice all the partners have one variant on offer at a far less contentious $249 tag, but from there, the sky’s the limit.
Why are we still here, in this skewed market? Just to suffer? Every night, we can feel the echoes of retailer listings from 2019…
To give the situation some context, the years (shivers) of astronomical GPU price hikes come as a result of the global chip shortage, which the U.S. government recently released adetailed report on. It’s worth noting some analysts predict GPU prices willstabilize by the end of 2022.
